Kindergarten Screenings

Do you have a child getting ready for their first year in school? At Avon Dental Care, we offer kindergarten dental screenings in Avon, Ohio. While these screenings are not required by the State of Ohio to enroll your child, they are highly recommended. A healthy body needs a healthy smile, and we want your child to enjoy both!

During these visits, our doctors will give your child’s smile a complete examination including dental X-rays. We will use this visit to determine if your child could benefit from a fluoride treatment, dental sealants or restoration. We will also talk with you about your child’s home care routine, including brushing and flossing, and about your child’s diet. If we find any oral health issues, we will take this opportunity to discuss them with you and provide you with some treatment options for your child. These may include follow-up visits and treatments, or we may simply suggest some menu changes and ways they can improve their home dental regimen.
