At-Home Trays and Gel
For more severe teeth stains, we could offer an at-home option, which can brighten teeth by up to ten shades in about one week to ten days on average. To begin, you will visit the office so we can create a custom set of plastic trays, which fit your smile comfortably. We send these home with you, along with a bleaching gel. We add the gel to the teeth and wear the trays for about an hour a day, or possibly overnight, depending on the dentist’s recommendations. The gel breaks up the stains and the trays ensure even results across your smile, and prevent saliva from diluting it. You can keep the trays and leftover gel for touch-ups down the road too!
